i’m seriously not trying to do a count down on this blog but the reality of it is that this is what i’ve been consumed with the last few months and it is all culminating in 5 days! – November 5th will be a date that will go down in my personal history.

As i discussed the upcoming meeting with Stephanie (who’s going with me to meet them) we realised that this is not just a crazy thing we can’t wait to happen. This is something we dreamt of as 9 and 11 yr old girls. We never thought in a million years it would happen – i mean it was so far out of reality that all we could do was fantasize (in an innocent 9 yr old kinda way). So in 5 short days fantasy and reality will collide and we will be in the presence of the five guys whose posters were plastered on our walls for years.

As Joe Mcintyre likes to say…

Let’s Get This!

oh m gosh! how am i supposed to contain the excitement???

PS: sorry if the quality isn’t all that. this is the first time i’m using this video widget – i’ll make sure it looks better for the philly concert.

Enjoy! :)

one of my favorite things to do growing up was to go out to eat and to the mall with pa pa. He would take me to my favorite store, Espirit, and usually me pick out one thing i could get. He liked to buy me purses too, mostly leather. He was the one who introduced me to the best food all over Singapore.

Well the other day i was at the mall and waiting in line for the fitting room. There was an older man (probably in his fifties) and he was sitting outside the fitting room waiting for someone who was trying on clothes. This teenage girl came out and asked him, “dad, how does this look?” and when i heard that immediately memories flooded my mind of how it was when i’d go shopping with my dad. For those of you who don’t know my dad had passed away in 2002. Well…i almost cried right there thinking of how much i missed pa pa and the times i had with him. I wish he was still alive and i could share my life now with him.

I miss him.

For those of you wondering what 5* is, it is  5 star VIP passes which means i get to meet the New Kids on the Block seven days from now!

I know i promised some videos a few weeks ago. If i find some time tonight i might post a few of the videos from the DC concert however you dont want to miss out on the ones i’ll be taking in Philly just seven days from today – so be on a look out for that.

So now…
just imagine you’ve had an unfulfilled dream since you were eleven and after 20 years it’s actually going to happen. That’s exactly how i feel. I am so antsy (in a good way) about this. I can’t wait for it to happen and yet a big part of me doesn’t want it to happen since i don’t want it to be over already. I’ve really enjoyed anticipating this dream come true event. It’s been not just a 20 year wait…realistically it’s been two long months filled with excitement and great anticipation.

I mean i get to meet Jordan Nathaniel Marcel Knight in seven short days! Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so i’m crazy – who cares? Ask my mom and bro – they know i can be worse :)

I’ll post a report when it’s all done.

sorry it took me so long to post this. The concert was unbelievable! I have videos and photos to prove it but i’ll have to post them another time.

I will also write more about the experience which was just out of this world! Stephanie and i get to meet the guys in 27 days. We are counting down!

has been fabulous.

1. my new 24″ imac arrived. we got the huge mac so that i can do more design and photography.

2. we (elaine, jenn, kim, tracy and i) had a fun ladies night out on friday night. We went to a winery an hour from DC – they had a movie night and it was a lot of fun being with the girls. There were wine, cheese and popcorn and we watched Under the Tuscan Sun. I didn’t care for the movie too much but the company was great!

3. I got home friday night and Will said we received a letter in the mail that USCIS finally lifted the conditions of my green card. It’s been a three year wait. Praise God for that!

4. i got to play with josie in the afternoon.

5. Will helped clean the house then took me out on a nice date tonight – we ate at Cafe Italia on 23rd street. Thanks to Stephanie who recommended the restaurant – it was quite authentic, very delicious food and romantic. We reminisced about italy during dinner and talked about our next trip )

So it’s only Saturday night and i have two more work free days to go. it’s been great! I’m totally loving this HUGE screen!

my new pair of shoes.

my new pair of shoes.

i’m not even a shoes type of girl. if you know me by now you’ll know i’m a flip flop type of person but recently i found a shoe store that carries shoes that i actually LOVE and would be willing to forsake the flippys (once in a while) for. This has never happened before – i just dont get into shoes.

Anyway, so the other day Will went to Shoefly with me and he picked these out for me. I totally loooove them and think they are the cutest things ever! I’m glad i have a husband with good taste.

before i get to go see New Kids on the Block in concert!

Will says i’m borderlining obsessive. He needs to talk to my mom about how i was 20 years ago.

The whole new kids thing is an experience, not just a band i like. My world used to revolve around everything new kids. I think i’m slightly better now :)

Since their reunion it has just been fun to relive some of the craziness and it helps take away from the daily “mundaneness” of life. It’s been fun seeing all that they’ve been up to and the new CD is really good too.

haha…so since i’m on here i thought i’d share one more thing.

so the new kids released a few of their new songs. i’m so smitten…i LOVE their new song Put in on my Tab.

You might be able to hear the song if you are running IE. The song is so super fantastic. I will not be embarrased to claim my love for this new song.  Of course i thought Summertime is fabulous as well but i’ve overplayed that one.
